In 1988 a program called the back door was started. It began as an experiment to find alternative patterns often created by brokenness in welfare systems. We used a contract and bonus process. An agreement to take responsibility for one’s own life and decisions was emphasized. The contract, once created, was then validated with a $15 cash bonus. This process worked so well that the concept was then taken to other cities and communities throughout North America. At the same time other groups around the world took these concepts and experimented with contracts and bonuses. Today these concepts are now seen as a viable alternative to traditional social welfare programming. It is now time for me to move on. I am still choosing to train people and offer individuals to use the contract and bonus process. The products page lists items for sale. The funds from these items will go to help cover additional contract and bonus opportunities.
